     There has been a tremendous amount of work done on this website, my radio show and the restoration of the Free American Magazine. Through cooperation with other webmasters, activists, authors and the first rate guests I have had the pleasure of interviewing, I have managed to build the audience and level of support I needed to restore the Free American Magazine as an online publication that may actually be better and more effective that the hard copy, nationally distributed edition I published for ten years that ended with my accident in 2004.
     One of the people I have been working with asked me to do a time line. This is it.
  Over 40 years ago, I went out to Arizona and California after they passed a helmet law in my home state of Texas. In later years, as a well known, controversial, publisher and broadcaster, I have been demonized, labeled, libeled and slandered by a wide range of opposition. From the days of Rush Limbaugh mocking us as “Black Helicopter Types” and “Militia” to today’s attacks on activists in the Tea Parties, Ron Paul, his supporters and Veterans, this is merely history repeating itself. These attacks were once limited to high profile and loud activists, writers and publishers like Bill Cooper, John Kaminski and myself, today they are going after our readers, listeners or fans. Remember being considered to be a terrorist if you had a Constitution on your dash or a Ron Paul Sticker on your bumper? But I was labeled a “Conspiracy Theorist” when I tried to warn you of what was to come based on suppressed history.
I have always told you that you should consider me the canary in the coal mine. It is no theory that many of the things that I warned about 15 years ago are occurring right now in our country. It is not like it hasn’t happened before.
For many years I was a happy, successful businessman, author, writer, film maker and producer. I had a chemical business and a distribution company in the Paraphernalia industry. I had to deal with the DEA and FDA. I hired the Broward County Sheriff’s chemist. I worked with NORML, distributed and advertised in High Times. My distribution reached into K-marts, 7-11s and smoke shops (Head Shops in the good old days). The sixties were roaring. I sold peace symbols, pipes and smoking stone jewelry.
. We stopped a war. Then Tommy Chung’s arrest for buying a bong factory put things in a new light, one with a lot of heat.
I started publishing a nationally distributed Motorcycle magazine called Rider’s Xchange in Miami. While covering the Sturgis Rally, I was given a copy of a document that should have been labeled “Top Secret”.  It was the notarized statement of Col. Edward P. Cutolo, commander of the Special Forces unit in Ayer, Massachusetts. It was handed to me by a Vietnam Vet active in the POW/MIA issue with the admonition, “Let’s see what kind of balls you have!”
The document is reprinted in its entirety in my book, “Mystery Babylon, the New World Order Unveiled”. It documents a CIA/Mossad operation called Operation Watchtower that CIA director George Bush authorized while covering for the Mossad operatives, pretty much the way he did for the Mossad/CIA involved in 9-11. I read it, became just a little paranoid until I assured myself that the transfer of the document was not witnessed and I was not followed back to Miami. This operation involved George Bush, Ollie North, Bill Clinton and Manuel Noriega. It ran parallel to “Iran Contra”. Toss in one old biker from Texas who likes to read and write.
William Tyree was a major figure in Cutola’s document. Tyree’s wife was murdered, Tyree framed for it and sentenced to life in Walpole Prison. I read the document carefully and started tracking down leads for confirmation that this was real. I managed to locate mother of William. She got me in contact with Bill Tyree. I followed and aired the story of his bugged trial with the help of a local librarian and wrote a story on it for Riders Xchange. Later, I would do the same in the Free American. Bill Tyree even used my 800 number to call in to a few shows.
Then a biker I had seen around showed up to tell me that he was with the CIA. He said they were a little upset but all of that information had been vetted with Noriega’s trial but the word was, “We will let your live, this time, don’t publish anything like that again.”
J. Edgar Hover once stated, “The individual is handicapped by coming face to face with a conspiracy so monstrous he cannot believe it exists.”Suddenly, this is what I felt I was faced with.
I had been in two bike clubs. One became the Bandidos, the other the Hell’s Angels after I left the clubs. In my magazine, I covered Outlaw runs and the Vietnam Vets events. We were all aware of government interest in us. Just a part of biker life. . .but this was different. And that difference would become more apparent.
Life in Miami was as close to normal as that of most Americans. I had multiple businesses, boats, cars, trucks, and a Harley motorcycle. I had a home on a canal, a beautiful wife and two smart, strong sons.
Then Waco happened. I remember telling my wife that I could never sit back and watch something like that happen again without doing something. But after the Cutolo article ran, things began to go strangely wrong.
The distribution of my magazine through Harley Dealerships was cut off by the main office.
A Jewish employee who wanted a piece of the action for his writing skills started a competing newspaper when I turned his idea of a partnership down.
I was sued by Rider Magazine for infringing on their trademark.
A man I met in Sturgis, Wayne (Wooden Indian) Baughman offered me a job as the PR director for IMMI. He was going to restore Indian. I viewed it as an opportunity.
It did not occur to me at that time there was anything wrong. I closed my magazine down in Miami a short while after changing the name to Renegade Express. It didn’t have the same ring and I didn’t want to spend money on lawyers. I was writing for Motorcycle Industry, Easyriders, and others.
I would chronicle the formation of IMMI through them.
I closed my businesses, sold my home on the canal and moved to NM. Was this part of the response of the covert agency’s agenda or just a poor business decision on both our parts?
Before my family and furniture arrived, we introduced the new Indian Motorcycles in Tingley Coliseum in Albuquerque. I was talking to Cyril Batten, the man who designed and built the motor I had been promoting. “How many are you building for us Cyril?
He looked me in the eye and said, “Two, those two in the Coliseum.”
“But Wayne Baughman has got a lot of orders?” The new Indian dealers, most of whom I knew, were in town and being chauffeured between the Coliseum and the “empty factory” where the Indians were to be built. The only problem was IMMI was operating out of Wayne’s Sheepskin Outlet and not a single tool or assembly line had been readied. This statement by the builder put a bad light on the whole affair.
“I was contracted to build two motors. There they are!”
When I walked into the building on Monday, Wayne called me to his office and asked why I was talking to Cyril. “I am in charge of PR. I talk to everyone.”
“You are fired.” I had done nothing wrong. His tone and attitude told me the matter was not open to negotiation. My involvement in anything has always been open to the public. I put my picture in the publisher’s column of my magazines. This was perhaps the most In-Your-Face assault. It had not been a good time to sell my house in Miami. This was not the first nor the last time someone I trusted turned on me.
This was the news that met my wife and sons when they arrived in Albuquerque.
I wasted no time grieving. I started talking to others involved with the project. The man that was supposed to be in charge of the Just In Time manufacturing process Wayne was going to use in the production, the engineer working at Sandia doing the animated commercials and others that had been terminated also. I talked with Cyril at more length and learned that he had not been paid and there was no plan for producing more engines. The next stories I sold to Easyriders and Motorcycle Industry sealed the fate of that Indian attempt. The subsequent article I wrote for Motorcycle Industry and Easyriders put IMMI out of business. I showed up at the last dealer meeting and was met with considerable hostility from the dealers. “Why did you do that?” they asked?
“You know who I am and that I always tell the truth. I have been publishing and writing for a long time and have never been sued for libel or slander. What would you want me to do? Cover up for Wayne and allow him to lure in more suckers like you?”
I continued writing for the biker magazines, doing a series for Motorcycle Industry and Easyriders entitled, “Made in America”. I covered the Illusion, Victory and Ultra being built by Rey Sotello.
Another article on South County Motorcycles and a phone call to the bankruptcy attorney suggesting they allow Rey Sotello to produce the Indians Baughman had taken a deposit on, resulted in the production of Indians once more…for a time. (Another Story another time)
From those days to this, it appears that I have been under attack. Why, for one story, a story that could have sold to another magazine for several hundred dollars? Would they have published it? Was everything business as usual or was something happening outside of normal business?
Perhaps I should have taken the CIA warning more seriously.
After Indian, I worked for an investor to produce motorcycles in Vegas, under contract. He tried to put his brother-in-law in over me as the president. When I told the investor his brother-in-law was an idiot, he fired me and sued me to keep me from doing a story on them. I counter-sued and won. I then started the Free American Magazine and the Militia in New Mexico working with the “Wake Up America group in Albuquerque. It was hardly the Terrorist Threat the ADL, SPLC and BATF tried to paint it as. We were just a bunch guys spending a few hour on an NRA range with a certified instructor. My teenage sons included. They out shot everyone!
The Militias were formed with the approval of Gov. Gary Johnson in his office. He and the Chief of Police of the New Mexico State Police and every state representative in NM got a copy every month. I had national distribution for The Free American. It was selling in Barnes and Nobel, Books a Million, Hastings and more.
I started my Free American radio show on Truth Radio and WWCR Shortwave.
Then OKC happened. The BATF was absent. One agent was standing across the street who just happened to have been training on White Sands with the type of ANFO explosives in Timothy (Still in the Army) McVeigh’s truck. So he was able to call Dallas and tell them what was used to blow up the building.
ADL and SPLC intensified their carefully crafted libelous reports. “Clay Douglas started and advertised for the Militias in his magazine.”
Why wouldn’t I? Every able bodied male between 18 and 45 is a member of the Militia and can be called up by the Governor. I did it with the Governor’s full knowledge. In case of an emergency, we were at his command. Gary Johnson ran for President last year.
In a forerunner to the Ron Paul Revolution, Charles Collins was the first to sign up as a Presidential Candidate in the Republican Party in 1996. I featured him. He wanted to buy back the Federal Reserve. He was a Rhodes Scholar, former banker, land owner and brilliant man.
Charles and I, along with hundreds of Patriotic Americans were demonized in reports like “False Patriots” and “40 to Watch” by the SPLC and “Armed and Dangerous” by the ADL. Their criticism in the early days was mild. The Rhetoric would intensify in the future as I uncovered more Jewish involvement in World Affairs and history. These Jewish owned and operated organizations send their reports to the FBI and Homeland Security. Just like the Jewish owned media, where the Palestinians are always the terrorists, the FBI listed me and my magazine in their “Guide to Rightwing Extremists”. Gov. Johnson recalled the booklets from every police station is New Mexico.

“As in neighboring Arizona, the organization of militias in New Mexico is in the nascent stages. Thus far, the most visible manifestation of pro-militia sentiment in New Mexico has been found in The Free American, a monthly newspaper published privately by Clayton R. Douglas and his wife, Jan Douglas. The September 1994 issue contained an advertisement declaring: "It's Time To Take Matters Into Our Own Hands. It's Time To Protect Our Constitution! Join The New Mexico Unorganized Militia." The accompanying phone number for more information was the number of the newspaper itself.” “Armed and Dangerous” by the ADL.
That much is true. Here is the stated reason for my work that they appear to be so afraid of. This heading has appeared on all of the thousands of copies of my magazine over the years.
Editorial Viewpoint
The Free American remains committed to bringing the truth to the American people. We believe that in a free society, it is the job of the press to be the watchman of the government. It then falls upon the people, being fully informed, to decide what actions they must take to preserve and defend their liberty.
The Free American is unabashedly, pro-American. Too many of our ancestors fought and died to protect our Constitution, the oldest in the world, to insure that we would retain those liberties spelled out in our Bill of Rights.
Based on the knowledge we have compiled over the last years of publication, we believe there is a verifiable, well documented plan to force Americans into a Global Government, complete with one world banking, a global ID system, an international police force, and a disarmed populous. This is unacceptable to us personally and incompatible with our Constitution and Bill of Rights.
Those who advocate such a global system and the dismantling of our Bill of Rights, are either misguided, uninformed or, if totally knowledgeable, traitors to this country. We will expose them. The Free American is not affiliated with any political party, religious sect, secret society, cult, club or movement. We do not advocate violence but we stress the right of self-defense and the individual’s right to bear arms, to be free of intrusive government, to privacy and the pursuit of life, liberty and happiness.
I believed that in 1994 and I believe that today. But my magazine was gone. The attacks in the form of “reports” shifted into high gear. SPLC went after “Sovereign Citizens” or anyone who happened to believe we are supposed to be free and independent.
When I talk about the ADL and the SPLC, I am not putting down or blaming all Jews for the criminal behavior of a few wealthy families. These are well funded, private propaganda machines designed to eliminate all opposition. They are hiding behind the Jews they sacrificed in Russia, Germany and Poland to drive others to Palestine, a Rothschild Colony at the time. There is a detailed time line in my book!
I need the help and support of all of my readers and listeners. We have to make moves and we need advertising, donations and books sales. Both John Kaminski and myself have been forced into poverty. Because we could not be silenced, intimidated or compromised like Alex Jones, we have been neutralized through Economic means. No one wants to support a terrorist, so these organizations, all Jewish owned, have to paint us when we are the ones that want to uphold the Constitutional Republic we were guaranteed by the Constitution. This is an old war and we are warriors getting old. It is time for all of you reading this to support those of us willing to risk death, imprisonment and demonization to fight for your Liberty.
After I had been publishing the Free American for ten years I put building #7 on the cover of my nationally distributed hard copy magazine in March of 2004. In April of 2004 the story broke in the New York Times that Bush had allowed the NSA to tap our phones. On May 20th mine was tapped, an accident arranged and I was sent to the hospital where a ¾ million dollar hospital bill was created by drugging me for 3 months. They told my family I had a severe brain injury and fed me Morphine, Halcyon, Haldol and Valium in such quantities I have no memory of three months of my life in three hospitals. My sons and wife kept the magazine we had started in Arizona the year before going while I lay drugged in the hospital. My sons finally told the third hospital to take me off the drugs and they did. A few days later, I was up, walking, fully conversational, having to carry my coffee in my right hand because of the three broken ribs and broken collar bone injured in the “accident”. There was little evidence of the effects of the “severe brain injury” I had supposedly sustained.
I was having severe hallucinations at times, but I said nothing to my family, the doctors or the nurses about them.
Then two men showed up and asked me if I was having hallucinations. I confirmed I had been. They said, “You can thank us for that!”
They told me they were with the CIA. I asked, “What are you doing in this country and why are you fucking with me?”
I was told they did not like me publishing Arizona's Thunder Riders Magazine.
“It is just a motorcycle magazine, why would you care about that?”
The answer to that was not apparent to me at that moment. I had only been conscious for a few days and was not aware that my brilliant and talented sons had “figured out” my software and programs and had kept the motorcycle magazine going. The “problem” in their eyes, was that I still had a source of income and was still alive despite what I considered an attempt to overdose me with their pharmaceutical drugs.
I ran them off with the caveat, “Well, thanks for the high boys, but it wasn't near as good as the acid you brought in to us in the Sixties.”
I considered the excessive drugging the second attempt on my life.
There was a third.
A woman showed up with an eight inch syringe filled with a purple liquid and a 3 inch needle.
“Hi, Mr. Douglas. I need to give you this injection.”
“Oh yeah? What is that?”
“It is just a tranquilizer,” she told me.
“Well, lady, I don't feel like being tranquil today. I'll pass.”
“You have to. I have to give this to you!”
“No ma'am, I don't know what that is, I don't know who you are, the doctor did not prescribe that to me and I have the right to refuse medication!”
“ I have to give this to you. I am going to go get Security and they will hold you down while I give this to you.”
“Go get them!” I told her.
And she did. She returned with four St. Joesph Hospital Security guards in uniform.
I took them aside and pulled off the best bluff of my life. Keep in mind that I had not eaten anything for 3 months. They had been feeding me intravenously and I had lost 50 pounds or more. I might not have been able to do what I told them I would do but I was still 6'4” and still had my biker attitude.
“A couple of things you need to know boys. I am NOT taking that shot! When I was in Special Force they taught me how to hurt people. Here is what is going to happen if you try to hold me down. You, Chubby, I am going to rip out your throat. You, I am going to break your legs, you I am going to break both your arms and you, Shorty, I am going to smash your kneecaps but you may never walk again!”
They did not try to hold me down. The woman disappeared. A week later I was allowed to leave the hospital. But they had told my family to get guardianship, make arrangements for long term care and to make sure that I continued to take medication like Depacote. The contraindications told me that it could cause heart attacks.
I told my family the only medication I needed was a joint and a Harley.
My wife thought the doctors had saved my life. I told her they tried to kill me. The court sent out investigators and sent me to psychiatrists to see if I was competent to handle my own affairs. They determined I was eccentric but sane. Guardianship was denied.
My wife and sons believed the doctors who told them I might never be the same again. They did not believe I had been approached by the CIA. Neither were they aware that was the second time I had been threatened by that agency.
The first time had been after I printed the story of George Herbert Walker Bush and Bill Clinton's drug smuggling “Operation Watchtower” in my Miami based “Rider's Exchange” magazine.
“We are going to let you live, this time, Clay. That was vetted during Noriega's trial. But don't do anything like that again.”
I suppose putting Building #7 on the cover of my March 2004 Free American was the straw that broke the camel's back. Or perhaps it was my reference to 9-11 on the air, as an exaggerated case of “Jewish Lightning” When I got of the hospital, the Free American was no longer in publication. My son's had not been able to keep that going. The property in New Mexico was shut down. It took less than a month for my family to abandon me. I was angry and became hostile as I found out about the attempts to get me committed and to get guardianship and them trying to make arrangements for “long term care”. The doctors had to try to justify their procedures and the massive hospital bill. My sons did not want me getting back in the business. They feared with justification, that I would try to bring the Free American back.
My wife of 24 years had a profound calming effect on my life. I met her while working with her father, James T. Ralph. I went from Seattle to Sacramento to meet him in the largest mansion in the capitol. I went there to take over and run a pipe business he had bought for Janet, American Horse.
Her father was one of the political elite administrator types. A colonel in the army, James T. Ralph became the Secretary of Agriculture of California. Under Kennedy/Johnson, James Tyree Ralph was Assistant Secretary for Agricultural Stabilization, January 1961-March 1962 (fired for accepting gifts from Billie Sol Estes; Sec. Freeman subsequently shook up the USDA assistant secretary responsibilities)
I mention this only because he was partially responsible for me loosing everything.
After I met Janet and fell in love, she showed me where and how he was cooking books and doing fraudulent transactions to get money out of me. We left. He didn't come to our wedding. I told him I was a firm believer in family and if he wanted to be a father to his daughter and a grandfather to our sons, we should just let the past go. We did that for 24 years. But after my “Accident” Janet went out to visit her sister, staying with her father in Tennessee. Her sister was ill and died within a few weeks. She stayed for the funeral then told me she wanted a 6 month separation. I filed for a divorce. Later I learned that her father had told her, if she came back to me, he would disinherit her.
Without her and my sons to help me, I ran through the usual supply of greedy, lazy or just plain dishonest employees. The advertising and the quality of Thunder Riders stayed high and I made a deal with a publicly traded company to sell part of my magazine with the intention of restarting the Free American. We made the deal on a Thursday. The put out the following press release on a Friday. I went into my new office on Monday. It was virtually a reenactment of my encounter with Baughman.
The CEO was white and shaking. “I can't go through with this Clay. Every stockholder has been contacted and told what a right wing, racist, anti-Semite you are. My stock is crashing like a rock. They are threatening to impeach me from my own company!”
My hear sank but I walked out and did not threaten him with legal action. Within two months, my advertisers started dropping out.

“Just before World War I, Woodrow Wilson was the peace candidate, but later lit the fuse that killed 25 million people. Franklin Roosevelt said he’d keep us out of war just before he was elected to a third term, and history has long ago revealed how he engineered Pearl Harbor to get us into WW II, which killed 57 million.
Just before World War I, the sentiment in America was decidedly pro-German, and more the half of all the immigrants coming to this developing land WERE German. Nobody wanted to get involved in a European war. But the media, owned by the same people who were making the weapons, convinced us, apparently, by suddenly and savagely telling hair-raising false stories about the Germans.
This is the great fact Americans continue to ignore. Instead of understanding that bankers create the wars, we prefer to believe the prejudicial hate-speak that emanates from American media that our enemies are “krauts,” “gooks,” and “ragheads,” without remembering, as the great suppressed writers have told us, that the folks who control the money also control everything else.
Slowly, we are learning that our real enemies are really the misanthropes making those statements, the bigwigs who control the flow of real wealth with imaginary rules that are nothing but blatant crime schemes. We are learning that these anti-human billionaires — whose income is derived entirely from legalized crime — are the true enemies of all civilized people.
And worse, we are learning that our leaders are owned by these people, these billionaires, who run the world anonymously from behind the scenes, and use puppets like Obama, Putin, Castro and Chavez to convince the gullible goyim that there are actually competing political philosophies in the world, when in fact there are not.

I have always maintained that a war is being waged right now with the real Enemies of Liberty operating within our borders. Even the mainstream is repeating that observation these days but they would have you believe that people like me are the enemy. As the Elitists expand their definition of “Enemies” the battle will begin to be bloody.
NDAA was the prelude to Martial Law by suspending Posse Comitatus, much as NAFTA contributed to the Exodus of Mexican farmers as drug mules into this country. My film, “True Face of FEMA” warned of their plans for forced inoculations and the use of troops in case of a major natural disaster over ten years ago. Lecturing Law Enforcement in Albuquerque, FEMA official Col. John Brinkerhoff, referred to a long war on Terror and he said it will be fought here and may be longer than the Cold War. “And the Enemy is weak.” In 30 years of publishing and broadcasting I have never been sued for libel or slander. It has never been more important to inform, organize and oppose this NWO plan for Global control. Their plans for total control are almost in place. Only committed people working together and supporting each other and or rights as individuals can this grim vision be forestalled or prevented. We have the minds and plans to regain sovereignty and restore liberty.
Their tactics, and their attacks on me are included in my latest book, “Mystery Babylon, the New World Order Unveiled” that covers my history in the Patriot Movement including the suspicious accident, drugging in the hospitals and disruption of day to day business. As soon as this book came out, rumors about me that had no basis in reality began flying all over Tucson. Meetings were disrupted; supporters and advertisers continue to be harassed. I had five bank accounts closed down by a million dollars in hot checks that came in as investments and donation. My website is blocked in most libraries and major companies around the country. Their serious attacks on me continue until this day. These are designed to impoverish and handicap me both socially and on a business level. They have tried to destroy my ability to communicate with the large number of people who are not nearly as knowledgeable as you and get all their news from the controlled mainstream. The Free American remains committed to bringing the truth to the American people. We believe that in a free society, it is the job of the press to be the watchman of the government. I believed that in 1994 and I believe that today. Now my magazine is back and affordable. The attacks in the form of “reports” shifted into high gear. SPLC went after “Sovereign Citizens” or anyone who happened to believe we are supposed to be free and independent. When I talk about the ADL and the SPLC, I am not putting down or blaming all Jews for the criminal behavior of a few wealthy families. These are well funded, private propaganda machines designed to eliminate all opposition. They are hiding behind the Jews they sacrificed in Russia, Germany and Poland to drive others to Palestine, a Rothschild Colony at the time. There is a detailed time line in my book!

Because we could not be silenced, intimidated or compromised like Alex Jones, we have been neutralized through Economic means.
